In The Club
“Well written, well acted, beautifully produced and directed. There’s a reason Mellor is a dominant force on British telly: she’s very good at what she does.”
This is the story of six very different couples who meet at their local Parent Craft class in the last trimester of their pregnancies. Each has their own unique set of issues to deal with, be it swollen feet, chronic wind or Braxton Hicks contractions, not to mention debt, divorce and even death.
Every pain and twinge signals imminent birth, with partners panicking they’ll have to play midwife. Straining waistbands and popping buttons reveal changing bodies that will never look the same, and new friendships are forged when couples turn to each other for support. With the parents-to-be each questioning their instincts, experience and expectations, pregnancy websites quickly become a vital source of support.
